Rick Cabrera
A native Floridian, I joined the U.S. Navy in 1976 and served for 20 years. After retiring from the Navy, I worked for the City of St. Augustine for 27 years before retiring again.
Over the years I have held a wide variety of jobs, including paper boy, doughnut maker, loading dock supervisor, Navy jet engine mechanic, Seabee, military police officer, civilian police officer in Key West, armed security guard, lawn care business owner, plastics manufacturing foreman, electrician, IT technician, and I spent 30 years working in the construction industry.
My wife, Ruth, and I met while serving in the Navy and were married in 1981. We have four children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. We settled in Palm Coast and have been members of St. Thomas for 35 years.
At St. Thomas, I have served on the Coffee Hour team, the Lawn Care team, and as Junior Warden on and off for about the past 14 years.
