After retiring from a long career in management as editor and publisher of newspapers, I moved to Palm Coast in early 2023 and found a welcoming, diverse congregation at St. Thomas. My wife, Jenny, and I have been in the Episcopal Church since 2020 in parishes in South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi, and are becoming more involved at St. Thomas.

We both serve as ushers at the 9:15 service, and Jenny, a retired teacher, also serves in the Altar Guild, Episcopal Church Women, and Vacation Bible School. I am a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran with a Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medal.
